2006 Topps McDonald's All-American


Kevin not only joins fellow McDonald's All-American D.J. Augustin at the University of Texas, he is a former Maryland middle school rival and onetime Oak Hill Academy (VA) teammate of Ty Lawson, who is a member of the East team. Though 6-10, Durant features amazing guard-like skills on the perimeter. And because he is a tireless worker who graduates high school at 17, he has mind-boggling upside. Durant also was named a McDonald's All American and named co-MVP of the 2006 McDonald's All American game along with Chase Budinger. KD racked-up 25 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals.

2006 GTC Future Star


The 2006 Jordan Brand All-American Classic was highlighted by a co-MVP performance from two of the NCAA’s top players this year, Kevin Durant from the University of Texas and Thaddeus Young from Georgia Tech. Durant finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and three blocks.

Kevin Durant, who came up repping Prince George's County in AAU ball with Michael Beasley and Ty Lawson, had a nomadic prep career nonetheless: two years at National Christian (Fort Washington, Md.), one year away from home at hoop powerhouse Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) and then back home for his senior year at Montrose Christian (Rockville, Md.).

Kevin Wayne Durant

Kevin Wayne Durant was born in Washington, D.C. on September 29, 1988, one of four children of Wanda and Wayne Pratt. Durant has one sister, Brianna, and two brothers, Tony, and Rayvonne. Durant was raised by his parents and his grandmother, Barbara Davis
